Five on Friday: Wedding To-Do's
Today marks 6 months until the wedding!
OMG! Only 6 more months of being Miss Molly Wagner. I can't believe how fast this year is going. I'm loving engaged life and the whole wedding planning process, but I can't wait to be KC's wife! For my Friday Five, I'm listing 5 wedding to-do's that need to be accomplished in the next month or two:
ONE. Find and purchase KC's wedding band.
- I think we are going to go look this weekend to see what we can find. So fingers crossed, he finds one he loves. There are so many different kinds!
- Six months out and I don't even know what the girls are going to be wearing! Luckily, we have an appointment at David's Bridal schedule for November when I'm in Indiana again. My matron of honor and I will be shopping around at other stores that week as well.
THREE. Pick a father/daughter song.
- This is proving to be harder than I thought it would be. I just can't seem to find that one perfect song...
FOUR. Meet with our officiant and the photographer.
- Being that we live 2000 miles away from our wedding location, I haven't been able to meet with either one yet. This is happening in November as well! I'm so excited to meet with our photographer and put our visions together. The officiant is my old youth pastor and we need to figure out what kind of ceremony we want to do.
FIVE. Decide on and purchase bridal party and mother of the bride gifts.
- Finding my dad's gift was a piece of cake and I have half of the girls', however, I don't know what to get my mom. I want it to be practical and something she can actually use, but I'm at a loss. We also need to figure out what to get the guys.

What's Been Cooking!?
We have discovered the dish that's been going around all social media platforms and it is to die for! I'm sure you've seen it, but if you haven't tried it...you need to make it ASAP!
Not only is this dish absolutely delicious, but it's also the easiest thing to make. Five ingredients, one pan, and everything you need for a meal. The main reason I love it so much is because I can just throw it all together without any effort after a long day of work and then relax on the couch while it bakes in the oven.
We think so highly of it, that I've made it three times in the past month. No shame. This is one way I can get KC to eat more vegetables! Plus, we rarely have any leftovers. It's a win all around!

Wedding Wednesday: Save The Dates
Save the Dates were mailed out last week. YAY!! So they should have all been received by now, which means...it's time to share them on here. I decided to make DIY save the dates and they turned out so much better than I could have imagined! I saw the idea on Pinterest and fell in love with it. Here's the process I took to make our library card save the dates:
*warning: Lots of pictures to follow!
First, I bought my supplies and found a free library card template online and used Adobe to add all the typing.
Then I printed out enough to make 80 of them (which I ended up messing up on quite a few and had to print a bunch more; luckily this step was simple!) I had to stamp the date beside each line and then I traced a heart around "Wedding" and went over it with a red permanent marker.

| My date stamper didn't have "2012" so I had to write that in |
Instead of making the pockets for these myself, I ordered blank red ones on Amazon. It saved time and they weren't really expensive. Once I got the pockets, I decided they were a little too plain for me, so I ordered a custom rubber stamp on Ebay and stamped them all.
Because no bride-to-be wants to return-address 80+ envelopes, I also ordered a custom address stamp on Ebay and stamped our return address on each envelope.
Now, all that was left was addressing them to each guest, sticking on the stamp and dropping them in the mail!
It was so much fun handcrafting each and every one of these. I'm so happy I decided to DIY our save the dates! Here's the finished product:
