2015 Reflection

As 2015 comes to a close, I can't help but look back over all that we've done this past year. It was definitely a big one for us, but not as big as next year will be! I'm sad to see 2015 go, but I'm so ready for 2016! Here's my year in review:

January: KC surprised me with Rock of Ages tickets and my parents finally made it to Las Vegas to visit us.

February: We went on the Big Bus Tour, celebrated Valentine's Day, and my little brother graduated basic, but I missed it due to being sick for an entire month.
March: We hiked the historic railroad trail, celebrated KC's birthday, went to my first arena football game and visited the Atomic Testing Museum.
April: My best friend, Katie and her husband visited, we got ENGAGED, took a weekend trip to Laughlin and went to another arena football game.
May: We went to Arizona for a long weekend and visited a ghost town and caught a Diamondbacks game while we were there. We also saw 50 Cent at a signing and KC took me to the drive-in.
June: I went to Indiana to see family and do some wedding planning. I said YES to the dress and KC took me to the circus.
July: I turned 26, we went to the Springs Preserve, and attended KC's friend's wedding.
August: Attended a bridal show, went to Coyote Countryfest, and spent an unusually cool day at the park.
September: Katie and Travis visited again, took our engagement pictures, went to The Book of Mormon.
October: Mailed save the dates and did a lot of wedding planning.
November:  We went back to Laughlin for another weekend getaway, started new Thanksgiving traditions, and I went back to Indiana for more wedding planning. My Matron of Honor threw me the best bridal shower while I was there.
December: Flat Stanley came to visit, went to the Chocolate Factory light show and had a wonderful Christmas.
Happy New Year! 2016 is going to be the best year yet! I can't wait!

Christmas Recap

This year was KC and I's third Christmas living together, but our first engaged! It was wonderful. We made Christmas dinner again this year, but not as MUCH as we made last year. We're learning. Haha.
We went to the Christmas service at church and it was absolutely amazing, as always.
They made it snow outside

We also started a new tradition of making gingerbread cookies. This year was ninjabread men!
I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas!

Christmas At Our House

We decorated our house on December 1st this year and it was anything but smooth sailing. We have a 3 year old, pre-lit, 3-piece tree. Somehow, in storage, the middle section of the tree broke so all the branches just hung straight down. We threw it out and just put the top section on the bottom section and went with the Charlie Brown tree look. Then, I plugged in the lights and they blew out. I had to un-decorate the entire tree, string some lights and then re-decorate it (now I know to test the lights before decorating!). It took a lot of time, it's short, but cute and I actually really love it!

Here's a little tour of our Christmas decor . Next year, I plan to go all out!
Our Charlie Brown Tree

We don't get very many Christmas cards, so I just stick them in the tree
I found this plate at the dollar store and thought it was super cute
I saw this on Pinterest and HAD to try it
How do you decorate for Christmas?
