Wedding Wednesday: Our First Dance

In preparation for our first dance, we took dancing lessons. I'll be the first to admit that I can't dance. We just wanted to know enough to make our first dance something special. After 9 lessons, we had a routine down. Very simple, but we loved it.

Our first dance was to Safetysuit's Never Stop (wedding version). I fell in love with this song early in our relationship when we were still long distance. When I started looking for our song, I knew this had to be it! My MOH caught our dance on video; you can see that here.

Weekend Recap: Thanksgiving

I always love long weekends, but they always seem to fly by so quick! I had Thursday thru Sunday off while my hubby only got Thursday and Saturday. We enjoyed our time together though and made the most of it. Living so far away from family makes the holidays seem like just another day.
This year for Thanksgiving, we went to the Sunset Casino buffet for Thanksgiving dinner and it was PACKED! I'm pretty sure everyone in Las Vegas decided to eat at the buffet this year. We waited in line for almost 2 hours, but the food was pretty good. Not the best, but better than nothing. After eating way more than we should have, we went home to relax and digest.
We decided to start a new tradition of putting up our Christmas tree on Thanksgiving. We decorated the tree and different areas around the dining room and living room, while listening to Christmas music and drinking a glass of moscato. And then we ventured out to see what kind of deals we could find.
Saturday, we ran some errands and went to church. Then we were really craving turkey again, so we checked out Denny's new turkey dinner plate. It. Was. Amazing! We should have gone there on Thanksgiving, rather than the buffet. We're making a note for next year. It was so good, we're planning on eating it again before the end of the year!
Overall, we had an amazing Thanksgiving and long weekend. Now it's time to get into the Christmas spirit!

How was your Thanksgiving? Did you cook or go out to eat??

Wedding Wednesday: Cutting The Cake

We had a small tower cake for us to cut and we also had 2 sheet cakes already cut up and with the food, so our guests wouldn't have to wait for us to cut the cake to get some. My amazing sister made all of our cakes for us and they were delicious!

As soon as we got to the reception, we cut the cake and toasted our "champagne" which was actually my favorite Moscato.

Etsy Shop: Her Sassy Creations

Next month marks three years since I first opened my Etsy shop; HerSassyCreations. I create and handcraft many different kinds of earrings such as, hoops, charm, beaded, and studs {just to name a few}. I've recently started making planner supplies too because I'm a Happy Planner addict...guilty! It started out as a hobby of mine and with some encouragement from my hubby (then boyfriend), I opened an Etsy shop.
After we got engaged in April 2015, I closed down my shop to focus all my spare time and energy on planning our perfect wedding. Now that we've tied the knot and things have settled down, the shop is back up and running! I'm so excited to see where it takes me. I've been working on new charm earrings and planner dashboards like these:
And I'm currently getting ready for Small Business Saturday on Nov 26th. I'm cooking up something special for y'all. Stay tuned! If you get a chance, jump on over to HerSassyCreations and check it out. Let me know what you think. I'm open to any and all suggestions and/or advice.

Wedding Wednesday: Making it Official

Following the ceremony, we had a receiving line. I'm so glad we decided to do this because if we hadn't, we wouldn't have gotten to talk to half of our guests. After going through the receiving line, our guests got food and found their seats under the tent, while we made it official by signing our marriage license.

My girls also fixed my bustle before we headed to our reception.

Product Review: #FlawlessVoxBox

I recently received the #FlawlessVoxBox from Influenster and it was filled with a ton of great products! I couldn't wait to jump right in and try them all.
SinfulColors Nail Polish. I tried the color "Miss Klaws" and it's a gorgeous dark pink color. At first, I wasn't so sure about it because it was a matte texture and didn't have the glossy shine I'm used too. BUT, I ended up LOVING it! I spend all day, every day typing, so the tips of my nails always chip within a couple days of painting them. However, with this nail polish, my nails didn't chip for about a week! And it was minimal at that. I was so impressed. I also love that it only takes one coat and dries almost instantly! I'll definitely be stocking up on more colors from the #SinfulColors collection.
Harvest Snaps. At first, I wasn't so sure about the taste of these, but the more I ate, the more I liked them. They're light, tasty and gluten free. The whole bag is only 90 calories, so they make the perfect, guilt-free snack. #HarvestSnapsLove
Ebates. I've had an Ebates account for awhile now and it's okay. I'm not a huge online shopper, so in the last year I've only received about $20 back. I could see it being really great for those who do 90% of their shopping online. It's basically free money just for buying things you're already buying. Can't go wrong with that. So even though I don't do a whole lot of shopping online, I still use Ebates whenever I do; $20/year will add up! #MyEbates

Yogi Tea. I've always wanted to try Yogi tea, so I was excited to try the two I received. We love hot tea in our house, especially right before bed. I tried the Skin DeTox and the Stress Relief. Both were really good. I didn't need to add any sugar or sweeteners to them; they were delicious on their own. I plan to buy a box of the Skin DeTox and see if it helps my skin. #YogiTeaUnwind
Simple Skincare Cleansing Facial Wipes. I love using facial wipes at the end of each day to remove any makeup, dirt and oil. They're so much easier than trying to use water from the sink (and less messy). I loved Simple Skincare's wipes! They were super moist, got everything off without too much scrubbing, and left my face feeling clean and refreshed. #MakeUp4Makeup
Covergirl So Lashy! Mascara. I'm not a huge mascara wearer, but every so often I put some on. This mascara brush had an interesting spiky ball on the end of it, so I was curious to see how well it worked. Unfortunately for me, the ball just made my lashes goopy and stuck together. The main part of the brush worked fine; nothing really different from other brands. It got the job done, but overall I was a little disappointed. #SoLashy
Dr Teal's Eucalyptus Epsom Salt Soak. This salt soak can be used in a bath or a foot spa. I tried it on my feet. It smelled heavenly and very therapeutic. It dissolved quickly in the warm water and left my feet feeling soft and renewed. It was very relaxing and I'm looking forward to soaking in a bath with it. #SoakWithDrTeals
