Wedding Wednesday: The Bridal Party

We had the BEST bridal party ever. There were definitely some ups and downs with KC's brother backing out the month before the wedding, but we made it work. I wouldn't have changed a thing. I really liked only have three people standing up with us. KC's best man is my MOH's husband. Enjoy some of our bridal party pictures. I'm in love with all of them:

Throwback Thursday: Best Friends

I know I've been MIA for the last couple of weeks. I'm sorry. I promise to get back to posting our wedding recaps ASAP!

In the meantime, enjoy this throwback of me and my best friend (MOH) from 2007 compared to us at my wedding this past April. We have another photo like this floating around somewhere (from 2006, I think) so we specifically asked our photographer to get this shot for us.

Excuse the horrible quality; cell phone pictures weren't that great back in the day ;)
I love it! And her!

Wedding Wednesday: My Girls

My girls were are amazing! I've been friends with my Matron of Honor, Katie, since she was born (almost 27 years now) and my Bridesmaid, Brittany, since we were 3 (24 years). I could not have had anyone better than the two of them standing by my side and I certainly didn't need more than just them. They were extremely helpful on this journey.

Again, there were so many fantastic photos of us girls that it was hard picking only a few so I don't overload y'all with pictures (haha). Enjoy.
Katie: Absolutely wonderful person inside and out! Most of my childhood memories include her, either at my house or her's. I was a Bridesmaid at her wedding three years ago. Best Matron of Honor ever. She was always available for endless texts, bridal meltdowns, and weekly phone calls. I would have lost my sanity if it wasn't for her.
Brittany: Such a sweet and beautiful person and her kind heart shows it. Childhood memories include her as well. We were always getting in trouble together and often tried to glue our hands together so we couldn't go home. I was a bridesmaid in her wedding six years ago. She's a wonderful mother of two.
They called us the Bridal Party Trio. Karaoke was the best!

Product Review: ZzzQuil

If you're anything like me, you love sleep! But, I seem to sleep better during the day when I'm just napping. At night, my brain keeps me awake and then once I do fall asleep I toss and turn all night and wake up two or three times. I rarely wake up in the morning feeling refreshed and not drowsy.
I was excited when I received the ZzzQuil Vox Box from Influenster because I'd been wanting to try it to see if it worked. It took me awhile to actually try it though, because it suggests you allow yourself 7-8 hours of sleep when using. This is difficult for me since we only get 6 hours at the most every night, so it took a little planning on my part to get to bed early!

It claims, "Helps you fall asleep in less than 20 minutes" and it's so true! I think I was out within 15 minutes of my head hitting the pillow and that's very unusual for me. It could have been that I was just tired, but I don't know. That's where the sample pack is kind of disappointing because there's only enough for one use. It's hard to say if something works when you only get to use it once. I plan to buy some more to see if it really works or if it was just a coincidence.
I also didn't toss and turn as much as I normally would, however, I did wake up once in the middle of the night. But that's far better than the two or three times that I usually wake up each night.

Overall, I think it helped me get some better sleep. I still woke up a little drowsy, but I think that's just me (haha). I definitely need to try it again to confirm that it helps, but I was happy with it.

Wedding Wednesday: The Groom

Figuring out what the guys were going to wear was a struggle. We kept changing our minds and deciding on one thing and then changing it to another (and by "we" I definitely mean KC...haha). Here you can see where we were 4 months before the wedding. It changed a little from that but was still along those lines. We realized how hard it was to match reds. Ugh. I couldn't find a red shirt that matched the red of the bridesmaids dresses, so we just went with white undershirts. Problem solved.

KC ended up with only one groomsmen after the best man told us he wouldn't be able to make it (a month before the wedding). It ended up being absolutely perfect and I wouldn't change it for anything. Here are some of KC's pictures of him and his best man:
