For those of you who don't know me, I wanted to give you a little background on my life, where I came from, and how I got to where I am now. This will be a brief overview without all the crazy details. Some details will come later in another post.
I was born and raised in east central Indiana in a small town you've probably never heard of. It was a great place to grow up, but I soon realized it wasn't somewhere I wanted to stay forever or raise my own family at someday. There was nothing left in this little town for me. I graduated high school and was working two dead end jobs for almost two years before I discovered there was no more room for improvement here. I was stuck in a rut and things were declining awfully fast.
At age 20, after a four-year relationship suddenly ended and left me so brokenhearted I didn't think I would survive (don't we all feel that way at first!?), I needed a fresh start and a new outlook on life. Within two weeks, I packed up my car with as many of my belongings as I could fit, recruited a friend, and drove across the country to live with my older brother and sister-in-law in Arizona; southeast of Phoenix. I will forever be thankful for my brother and sister-in-law who played a huge part in getting me out of that small town and allowing me to live with them for 2 years while I figured out this little thing called life.
Nine months later, I had the best circle of friends any person could ask for. They were my family while I was so far away from all my family (except my brother). My life changed drastically in those first couple of years as I grew up, matured, and became my own person. I went back to school and got my associate's degree, brought my first (and second) brand new car, had a good, stable job that I could make a career, ran my first half marathon, left the country (Canada!), got a tattoo, and just enjoyed single life to the fullest!
Two and a half years after moving to Arizona, I met KC (that story will have it's own post; it's a good one!). After about a year and a half and many, many, many trips to see him, I moved to Nevada (Viva Las Vegas Baby!) to live with him. And that's where I've been for the last year. We just recently moved out of his apartment and into a house that we can call our own, for now (it's a rental). We're considering getting a pet, but we'll see about that!

A Long Time Coming...
After a lot of talk and even more contemplating, I'm finally jumping head first into the blogging world. I've always thought it'd be fun to have my own blog. I mean, I love writing, but my handwriting is awful. This way no one can see how horrible my handwriting truly is! (Sorry, but you're stuck with dealing with the poor spelling and grammar mistakes.)
Writing has always been therapeutic for me. A way to free my mind or turn it off long enough for me to complete a project or get some sleep. I'm hoping this blog will help me clear my mind and possibly relieve some stress. Lord knows I have so much going on in my brain at all times.
Life can get quite busy around here so bear with me as I try to post as often as I can. I'm not promising I'll post every day or even once a week, but I'll do my best to stay on top of it. I'm also not promising to be entertaining, but hopefully someone, somewhere will get something out of my everyday ups and downs of life.
I'll get into a little bit about myself (a background overview if you will) in my next post. I can't give you everything all at once. Where's the fun in that!?
