Picking my bridesmaids was the hardest decision I've had to make so far. This is mainly because we are only having two each, but after going back and forth for a couple weeks, I finally made the decision to have my two childhood best friends.
There are so many cute ideas on Pinterest involving ways to ask your girls to be your bridesmaids. I really wanted to do one of them, like making a box full of little things they'll need, but there were two factors preventing this. First, I'm not really creative enough to make my gifts look anywhere close to the awesome pictures on Pinterest. Secondly, my bridesmaids are in different states, so I wouldn't be able to do this without it being impersonal. I mean, I could have mailed the packages to them, but not being there when they get it takes all the fun away. So I decided to go a different route.
I just called my girls up (individually, of course) and asked them that way. Once they accepted and gave their excited, "YES!", I made DIY cards and mailed those to them.
Originally, these were said to be used to ask them to be apart of your big day, but again, I didn't like that idea. So instead of having them ask a question, I thanked each of them for saying yes and explained how excited I was to plan with them and have them standing beside me on my big day. The girls LOVED them! My maid of honor said it was nice because she got excited twice; when I first asked and then later when she received the card in the mail.
Tomorrow we go dress shopping!! I'm so excited and cannot wait to find the perfect one!

How'd you ask your girls to be bridesmaids?

Those cards are so cute =) I agree that asking them on the phone was the best idea, I'd want to hear their responses too. Have so much fun dress shopping!!
